Our Beliefs

God

God is the creator and ruler of the entire universe. While there is only one God, He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is completely holy, loving and just in all of His ways.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God the Son. Jesus took on human flesh and came into the world fully God and fully man. He lived a perfect life that no other human could live. He offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice for sinful humanity by dying on a cross and receiving God's righteous wrath reserved for sin. He rose triumphantly from the tomb on the third day demonstrating His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of God the Father, and will return again one day to abolish sin and reign as King and Lord over all.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. He convicts men and women of their sin and their need for a Savior. He dwells within every believer, empowering the Christian to live as a follower of Jesus, and giving guidance, comfort, and assurance to every believer. Additionally, He gives every believer at least one gift to use in service of God's Kingdom.

Human Beings

God created human beings in His own image, in order that they might live in relationship with Him, worship Him, and reflect His glory into the world. All humans have sinned and fallen short of God's standard.

sin

Sin is rebellion against God's commands. All humans have sinned against God, and as a result have been separated from Him. The just punishment for sin is the eternal wrath of God in hell.

THE Gospel

The Gospel is the good news that God sent Jesus into the world to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus died on the cross in our place, then He rose from the grave on the third day defeating sin and death forever. As a result Jesus forgives, redeems, and gives eternal life to all who, in faith, turn from sin and self, and trust Jesus alone as Savior and King.

THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible word of God. It is the final authority for all matters of faith and life.
